Omega launched the De Ville collection for expanding on its popularity by introducing timepieces that displayed sophistication and exuberance. The watch was perfect for the paradigm of the era and needless to say, it was a major hit for the Swiss watchmaker. The original release in 1960, being part of the Seamaster collection, showcased many interesting features like top-notch movement and elegant design. In 1967, the collection finally received an independent status and was streamlined as an alternative to sports watches like the Seamaster and Speedmaster.
The present-day Omega De Ville is a reflection of the watch manufacture’s intrepid spirit. The watches are simple and unfussy devices that portray the epitome of simplistic pleasures. Although the collection has more popularity in the women’s luxury watch segment, it has some of the finest men’s watches as well. Omega De Ville watches exhibit features like multiple case sizes (24.4mm to 44mm), Quartz as well as Co-axial movements, chronograph, and tourbillon. Not to forget, the crown jewel of the collection, Omega Ladymatic. The 34mm red gold timepiece is a precision chronometer that does justice to its name. Successfully encompassing feminine beauty, the timepiece is horological supernova with state of the art design and engineering.
Other popular series in the collection are:
• Omega De Ville Hour Vision
• Omega De Ville Tresor
• Omega Prestige
