The TAG Heuer Connected has been rewarded with the well-respected German Design Award, with the first place within the category Luxury Goods by a highly qualified jury of 49 members from the world of business, education and science as well as the design industry.
The German Design Award is the top international prize of the German Design Council. Launched in 2012, the German Design Award is one of the most well-respected design competitions in the world and is held in high regard well beyond professional circles. German Design Council said: “This smart watch has a beguilingly casual appearance, with the clean, minimalistic design that is still unmistakably the work of TAG Heuer. The material has high-quality look and it feels great, too. A contemporary product that combines advanced technology and design to luxurious effect.”
Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of the LVMH Watch Division said: “It is a great honour to receive this Award for TAG Heuer. The German market is important for us, and the German Design Award a reference. Our smartwatch is in first line a watch, looks like a watch, feels like a watch and has the soul of a watch. One could also add one other difference which is that the TAG Heuer Connected is made with the same precision and Swiss quality as all our Swiss Made watches.”
