The 100th anniversary of the most important show in the watch and jewellery industry reaffirmed its status as the global trendsetter. Another exciting, innovative and action packed show from Swiss luxury watch industry’s premium event. More than ten thousand buyers from over a hundred countries gathered at the mecca of Haute Horologerie, to celebrate a week of the best in Swiss watchmaking industry.
The exciting week saw the release of several firsts and some much desired comebacks from luxury brands. With Omega releasing its first ‘moon-watch’; Bvlgari releasing its third world record holder, the ‘Finissimo Automatic’; Rolex bringing back one of its most famous heroes, ‘the Date-Just 41’; TAG Heuer Autavia being different from other vintage reissues this year as it’s the only watch for enthusiasts, chosen by enthusiasts; and Patek Philippe’s 20th Anniversary Aquanaut, we at Kapoor Watch Company tried bringing you some of the highlights of Baselworld 2017’s hottest collections and brands updates, hands on, on our social feeds during the show.
Eric Bertrand, President of the Baselworld Exhibitors’ Committee, stated, “We know from experience, our new collections and creations will be all the talk in the coming 12 months…” Jean Claude Biver, President of LMVH Watch Division stated, “Baselworld is not just a show of the best Swiss watch brands, but more importantly, the showcase of the entire Swiss and international industry…”
As we bid adieu to one of the most talked about events in the watch industry, we can only be hopeful and look forward to next year with anticipation. However, Baselworld 2017 might be over but, the excitement has just started as we will be bringing you more from Baselworld 2017 releases on Wrist Diaries soon. So stay tuned!
