From the high-octane universe of Formula 1, to the niche world of competitive sailing, the sixth element of the periodic table has found presence and prominence in the uber slick and high net worth of luxury sports and goods. Carbon as an element has long wooed high-end watch manufacturers due to its toughness, character and stylish appearance. Following the launch of the successful Carbon Monaco Bamford edition, TAG Heuer releases three Aquaracer models decked out with carbon fibre details and housed in a 41 mm black PVD-coated titanium hull.
TAG Heuer’s ultimate Dive Watch, the Aquaracer immortalizes the carbon look and feel thanks to the matte mottled surface on the bezel and the dial. Another interesting feature of the timepieces is that no two Aquaracer watches will ever bear the same carbon design. This is because the black and grey marbled motif is the result of the random injection of carbon fibres into a resin pressed at high temperatures. The outcome, is a visually stunning looking timepiece that bears no resemblance to any other Carbon series Aquaracer.
The Aquaracer models are available in three distinct colours of blue, yellow, and rose gold. The Aquaracer Special Carbon Series is an automatic three-hander powered by the reliable Calibre 5, beating at 4Hz and based on a Sellita SW200 movement. Displaying the hours, minutes, seconds and date, the timepiece has a power reserve of 38 hours. The TAG Heuer Carbon Series Aquaracer is a striking looking timepiece bringing you the ruggedness and performance of a real dive watch with subtle but high-tech appeal of carbon. Designed for diving, but capable of being a solid ally on land, the Aquaracer’s new carbon-inspired character and persona is sure to resonate with fans who love technological advancement and stunning looks, all in one timepiece.
